Under the current COVID-19 emergency/executive orders, this public hearing will not be physically open to the public at the Village office building. The public may participate in the hearing via ZOOM and may submit written comments as described below. The purposes of the public hearing are to receive public comments on the Village of Richfield Springs community development needs and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) applications for the 2020 program year, including application(s) for certain public infrastructure project(s) that would involve providing treated water to a number of residences in the Towns of Richfield and Springfield, currently receiving raw water from the Village, with a new main and pump station and repairs to the existing main at an estimated cost of $1,201,331. An eligible local government may be awarded up to $1,250,000 in grant funding under the CDBG 2020 program for qualifying public infrastructure projects.
